Gregorys Coffee, which has become a fixture in New York City for those looking to get their caffeine fix, has taken over the former Starbucks on Deer Park Avenue in Deer Park, with a cafe in Melville scheduled to open in the coming weeks.

The Deer Park location is now open daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1932 Deer Park Ave. An exact opening date for the Melville location has not been announced.

CEO and founder Gregory Zamfotis said that the company looked across Long Island before settling on the two locations. Gregorys Coffee now has 28 shops across New York City, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C.

Regular customers at the cafe, known as Gregulars, can enjoy a vast menu that includes hot and cold beverages, as well as eclectic items such as toasted marshmallow lattes, peppermint mocha, and gingerbread lattes.

The menu also includes a variety of items such as spicy avocado toast, sandwiches, peanut butter crunch toast, and a host of vegan selections.

“We are proud to announce that our first cafe on Long Island officially open,” they announced. “This sun-drenched cafe is located (on) Deer Park Avenue, and is ready for you with amazing coffee and positive vibes.

“We will offer indoor dining, order ahead as well as curbside pickup for the Deer Park community. We really did bring out all the bells and whistles for this cafe and we can't wait to share them all with you.

“You're anything but regular, you're Gregulars, and we take care of our own.”
